CALL FOR APPLICATIONS: Eikon’s 2015 Artist-in-Residence program

Vienna-based magazine Eikon is currently fielding applications for their 2015 Artist-in-Residence program. This program offers one visual artist the chance to spend two months at Quartier21, a space for artists and entrepreneurs to further their work as part of a collaborative creative community.

DEADLINE EXTENDED: Camera Club of New York, 2014 Juried Photo Competition

The Camera Club of New York has extended the deadline for their 2014 Annual Juried Photography Competition. The competition is open to photo-based artists working in any genre, preferably those with a cohesive body of work. Selected applicants will receive a $500 cash award as well as publicity on the CCNY site.
DEADLINE: Tuesday May, 27th.

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: W. Eugene Smith Grant in Humanistic Photography

W. Eugene Smith Memorial Fund is now accepting submissions for the Gene Smith Grant in Humanistic Photography. The $30,000 grant is presented annually to a photographer who shows particular promise in documentary photography as judged by a panel of three international photographers. The deadline is May 31st.

The Photo Review’s Gala Garden Party will be held on June 14th this year in Philadelphia. Photographers, collectors, curators, writers, and friends are invited to join The Review for music, conversation, drinks, and delicious food. This year special guests will include photographer Mark Cohen, editor of The Photo Review Stephen Perloff, and Larry and Larraine Miller of New York’s Laurence Miller Gallery.
