The American-Scandinavian Foundation Grants and Fellowships

The American-Scandinavian Foundation offers fellowships (up to $23,000) and grants (normally $5,000) to individuals to pursue research or study in any field in one or more Scandinavian country for up to one year. Applicants must have a well defined proposal that makes going to Scandinavia essential to the project. Lorenzo Natali Journalism Prize 2009

Established in 1992 by the European Commission, the Lorenzo Natali Prize for journalism is awarded to journalists for outstanding reporting on Human Rights, Democracy and Development. Journalists from around the world are invited to submit work to this prestigious competition where 10,000 euros is awarded to the overall winner. The deadline for this award is July 31st. American Academy in Rome 2010 Rome Prize

Each year, the coveted Rome Prize is awarded to thirty emerging artists and scholars in the early or middle stages of their careers who represent the highest standard of excellence in the arts and humanities.
