Grand Canyon Artist-in-Residence Programs

The Grand Canyon National Park is now offering year round artist residencies at the southern rim of the canyon. The park is looking for artists interested in exploring areas such as, the ecology, the environment, park advocacy, conservation or other themes relevant to the parks. The Exlporatorium is a museum of art, science and human perception located in San Francisco, California. Applicants for this residency must have an interest in exploring these themes while collaborating with scientists, educators, exhibit developers, and artists - in residency at the museum. The Michael P. Smith Fund For Documentary Photography was created by the New Orleans Photo Alliance to honor the life and work of Michael P. Smith, one of New Orleans’ most legendary and beloved documentary photographers. The MPS Fund awards one $5000 grant annually to a Gulf Coast photographer whose work combines artistic excellence and a sustained commitment to a long-term cultural documentary project.
