Home Truths

Home Truths: Photography, Motherhood and Identity will be on display at The Photographers’ Gallery from October 12 to January 5, 2014. 

Susan Bright, the curator of the exhibition plus exhibiting artists Elinor Carucci, Ana Casas Broda, Fred Hüning, Katie Murray and Hanna Putz will be signing copies of the exhibition catalogue and their own books in the Bookshop Saturday October 12 at 2pm. They will be joined by Annu Palakunatthu Matthew who will be exhibiting at the companion exhibition at The Foundling Museum.

Make No Little Plans

 Lauren Lancaster's Make No Little Plans will be showing at The Half King in New York. Opening reception will comence Tuesday September 24 at 7:30 p.m. The exhibition will be on view until Nobember 18, 2013.  The show consist of photos she shot while in the United Arab Emirates. Lancaster moved to the UAE in 2008 when she was hired by The National, its main English-language daily. image by Lauren Lancaster

Artist's Talk: Chris McCaw

Photographer and Cassilhaus Artist-in-Residence Chris McCaw will be having an artist talk at the Nasher Museum of Art at Duke University as a part of the Triangle Photography Consortium. The talk will start at 2:30pm on Sunday September 22, 2013.

Chris McCaw, whose work was included in the recent Nasher Museum’s Light Sensitive show, discusses his work, including his project Sunburned, in which he builds his own cameras to create unique paper negatives by direct exposure to the sun in such places as the Arctic Circle. 

Seating is limited; first come, first served.
