Brenda Ann Kenneally's documentary work about women in the once booming industrial city of Troy, NY can now be explored at UpstateGirls.org. Kenneally followed seven different women over a five year period, experiencing their struggles and attempts to overcome the generational poverty that has overtaken a large percent of Troy's female headed families. To view the images from the Upstate Girls series, a graphic novel on the lives of the women of Troy, and watch trailers for the upcoming documentary, visit www.UpstateGirls.org. Kenneally's work can also be found in the New York Time's Lens Blog as well as in the October issue of the Digital Journalist.
