On this earth that we live in today, over 9 million people are incarcerated within prison walls and call it home. With this figure projected to grow in the coming decades, have we really considered the effectiveness of our international prison systems? Additionally, what steps are being taken to productively rehabilitate inmates, rather than simply secluding them from society and releasing them once their term is up? The Nooderlicht Photogallery has curated a show from nine women photographers to explore the effect that mass imprisonment has had on our sense of justice and virtue.
