After Hiroshima

Elin O'Hara Slavick's documentation of the after effects lingering in Hiroshima after the A-bomb hit are visually poetic. She is capturing chemicals that cannot be seen but through photography can convey how they have impacted Hiroshima and its people.

She has created work using traditional photography, cyanotypes, and rubbings through her four years staying in Hiroshima.

Her book and images from After Hiroshima will be shown at the Daylight Project Space in North Carolina until June 21st.
