30 Under 30 / Women Photographers is a unique annual online exhibit of photography featuring a selection of 30 women photographers from around the globe under the age of 30. And on the heels of International Women's Day, this exhibit's relative poignancy is not only clear but also important. The male-gaze and its subject, the woman, is a sociological and historical relationship that has percolated into the art of photography. It is this gendered relationship between the 'masculine' act of looking and the 'feminine' act of being looked upon that 30 Under 30 / Women Photographers wishes to disrupt.
