Fiscal Sponsorship

Our fiscal sponsorship program is one of the many ways that Daylight Community Arts Foundation (DCAF) supports photographic artists in sharing their work. 

Fiscal sponsorship enables organization and artist-led projects and programs around the world to receive grants and tax-deductible contributions, including monetary and in-kind donations, through our status as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Non-profit tax-exempt status is required by many foundations, corporations, and government agencies in order to be eligible for funding since many do not accept application proposals from individuals. Additionally, our 501(c)(3) status allows partner programs to receive charitable deductible contributions directly from individuals—a major incentive for those considering making a donation to your project.

In the past, Daylight has received support from the NEA, Ford Foundation, Mellon Foundation and many others. We accept donations via check and wire transfer. Like all fiscal sponsors, DCAF retains a small percentage of funds received in order to cover legal, accounting and administrative costs.
