2023 Daylight Photo Awards is Open for Submissions

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS! The 2023 Daylight Photo Awards has launched! This year's line-up of judges includes: Jonas Cuénin (Blind Magazine) Leonor Mamanna (Bloomberg) Kurt Mutchler (National Geographic) Roula Seikaly (Humble Arts Foundation) Tracey Woods (The Luupe) The winner will receive $1000, a digital feature and a chance to have their project considered for publication. Previous Daylight Photo Award winners include: Vikesh Kapoor, Donavon Smallwood, Maria Sturm, Bryan Thomas, Matthew Genitempo, Bryan Schutmaat, Aaron Vincent Elkaim,Tamas Dezso and Katrin Koenning. 2021 DPA WINNER: Donavon Smallwood

The 2021 Daylight Photo Award Winner is Donavon Smallwood for his project 'Languor'  We are proud to announce that Donavon Smallwood is the winner of the 2021 Daylight Photo Awards! Donavon's project 'Languor' juxtaposes portraits of African-Americans with landscapes made in NYC's Central Park during the long months of lockdown. The beloved Central Park is built upon what once was the vibrant Black community of Seneca Village. With 'Languor' Donavon pays homage to this little remembered history while '"centering black tranquility among the chaos of nature, space, history and life today." Donavon will receive a $1000 cash prize and a digital feature.  https://stories.daylight.co/donavon-smallwood-languor  Congratulations...
