Zofia Rydet's 'Sociological Record'

Photographer Zofia Rydet’s Sociological Record, realized between 1978–1997, represents one of the most important achievements in 20th-century Polish photography. Rydet (1911–1997) assembled her photographic “Record” by systematically and methodically documenting the lives of individuals depicted primarily within the literal frame and context of their homes: village huts in the countryside or else apartments suspended amidst blocks of city flats.Of canonical significance, the “Record” has nevertheless remained a challenge for scholars and art critics alike, owing to the sheer breadth of the project’s scope and Rydet’s prolific industriousness. MONO Volume 2 Kickstarter

The MONO Trilogy is about celebrating that beautiful and timeless art medium that is black white photography. It represents an invaluable contemporary snapshot of the black and white genre.

At the moment, Gomma has a crowdfunding campaign open where backers are able to preserve a copy of the new volume at reduced price of 40% and with the addition of prestigious gifts such exclusive signed prints. Furthermore, the possibility to purchase a copy of the Gold Limited Edition.

MONO Volume Two will showcase approx 250 pages of outstanding imagery, encased in an elegant and lushly black cloth hardcover. Addison Ripley Fine Art (Washington, D.C.) is pleased to present E. Brady Robinson's 'Art Desks'. For the past three years, Robinson has traveled throughout the East Coast documenting the workspaces of some of the most influential artists, curators, art dealers and collectors from New York to Miami. A mission, which Robinson describes as "the desk as portrait combined with the social experiment of navigating the art world."
