Daylight Panel Discussion @ Photoville

INCEPTION TO PERFECTION: MAKING A PHOTO BOOK

A photograph is made in the blink of an eye but long-term photographic projects can take months or years to bring to completion. Often culminating in a book, these projects take fortitude, dedication and, sometimes, a silly degree of commitment and sacrifice. Daylight's new season of book releases feature a number of such projects and we will be gathering some of our new artists to discuss the various facets that go into packaging long-term photographic projects into book form.

The panel will feature short artist presentations by Mark Marchesi, Barbara Kyne, Vincent Cianni, Patty Carroll and Manuelo Paganelli following which a conversation moderated by Michael Itkoff will include Daylight's Creative Director, Ursula Damm discussing some of the specifics that go into creating a photo book. Amongst other topics the panel will include discussion about editing and sequencing, cover treatments and other design considerations. A book signing will take place after the discussion.
