SVA PANEL: INK TO IPAD: THE PHOTOBOOK TODAY, NOVEMBER 9

September 30, 2011

Until recently, the measure of success for a professional photographer was based on the publication of a photographic monograph. With new technologies and options for self-publication, is the printed page still relevant, how can new and upcoming artists produce and distribute their work, and what is the e-book in relationship to the finely crafted art book? The School of Visual Arts Masters of Professional Studies in Digital Photography has invited renowned speakers and photographers to address these issues in a panel discussion moderated by Daylight Editor Michael Itkoff.

On Wednesday, November 9th from 7-8:30 PM, hear Susan Bright (curator), Eric Himmel (publisher, Abrams Books), David Schoerner (publisher, Hassla Books) and Harvey Stein (photographer) at SVA Theatre.
