Nazreli's newest book Frontcountry was released this month. In this work, artist Lucas Foglia documents the residents of mining and energy boom communities of some of the least populated parts of the United States. The work is currently exhibiting throughout the United States and Europe.

The work of Sarah Anne Johnson, Alejandra Laviada, and Chloe Sells will be on display in an exhibition entitled LandMark from June 19th to August 15th. Individually, each of these artists experiment with ways of describing natural, created, and remembered landscapes. LandMark puts the three in conversation, weaving together their complimentary explorations of the salience of place.
The opening reception will be on Thursday June 19th from 6-8 pm.

Orlando-based Snap! Space, a shoot off of Florida’s largest photography festival, will be hosting Artist Day on Saturday, June 7th. This event is dedicated to exploring the artistic process through conversations and Q A sessions with many artists including Elise Bloom, Wendy Sacks, Heather Evans. Attend for an afternoon of stimulating conversation!

CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS: Rencontres d’Arles 2014 Book Awards

The 45th annual Rencontres d’Arles festival will be accepting submissions for its 2014 Author Book Award until June 6th, 2014. This annual award goes to a photographer who has published a distinguished book of photography between June 1st, 2013 and May 31st, 2014. The award recipient will receive a prize of 8,000 euros and will be featured in the 2014 festival.
